Cultivate the full intelligence of your body for greater wellbeing, aliveness and sustained change.
The Promise of an Embodied Approach
-
The word Somatics comes from the Greek root soma which means "the living organism in its wholeness." It is the best word we have in English to understand human beings as an integrated mind/body/spirit, and as social, relational beings.
Somatic coaching recognizes that our bodies hold the stories of our past—our triumphs, our wounds, and the conditioned tendencies that shape how we show up in the world. It’s an approach that honors the deep, interconnected wisdom of mind, body, and spirit, a core principle found in many indigenous wisdom traditions.
By learning to listen to the messages and sensations within our own bodies, we can cultivate a powerful, grounded presence that is both resilient and adaptable.
This is a necessary approach for today's leaders, who face unprecedented pressure and complexity. By moving beyond a purely cognitive approach to leadership and developing the capacity to feel, listen, and respond from an embodied place of wholeness, they can guide themselves and their organizations toward a more just, life-affirming, and sustainable future for all.

“Just because we have an insight that we should do something differently does not mean that we can make that new move - especially when we are under pressure.”
— Staci Haines | Author and Director of Methodology at the Strozzi Institute
A proven map to guide the way.
My approach is built on the rigorous, 50-year-old methodology of the Strozzi Institute, where I am now honored to be an instructor. This isn't just an academic certification; it's a deep, embodied practice that has transformed my own life and leadership.
Here’s some of the terrain you can expect to travel…
We start by cultivating your capacity to feel the language of your body. This practice allows you to access your own wisdom, competence, and intuition in a grounded and reliable way.
Somatic Awareness
Somatic Practice
We create new habits of thought and action and expand your emotional range. By "reshaping" your nervous system, you'll be able to stay connected to yourself and others, even in the face of complexity.
Old habits and reactions are deeply embedded in our nervous system. We can't simply build new skills on top of old safety strategies. Instead of resisting these old patterns, we learn to acknowledge their intelligence and unwind the habitual responses that no longer serve you.
